Excellent illustrations -- but best acquired for its streamlined textual overview of the artist's work, which is fairly up to date in terms of changing critical assessments. The commentator's explanations of biblical, mythological, and neoPlatonic/allegorical allusions are succinct and would serve anyone well as either a refresher course or an introduction to Botticelli's subject matter.
